Grey Barn

This truly unique wine room for a private residence in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, features a leathered black granite countertop – which provides coolness in this self refrigerated wine room with exposed timber beams. Leathered granite possesses a soft sheen that is less than honed granite, yet includes a greater textured appearance. It is achieved when diamond-tipped brushes are run on top of honed granite.

This project, albeit small, highlights the positive impact that selecting the correct natural stone can have on a home’s interior.
